Notifications
Densy only messages you about something that happened — a scan finished, an order moved, your routine changed. There is no newsletter and nothing is broadcast.
Your inbox
Everything Densy has sent you is in the inbox, whether or not it also reached you by email or push. Items link straight to the thing they are about: an order, a session, a shipment to track.
You can mark items read individually or all at once. You’re all caught up means exactly that.
The three ways a message reaches you
| Channel | What it means |
|---|---|
| In-app | It appears in your inbox |
| Push | Your phone or browser notifies you |
| It arrives in your email |
Each type of notification has its own row, and you set the channels per row rather than all at once. Related types are grouped — scan reminders, protocol, order updates, email reminders — so you can turn down a whole category without hunting.
Why some switches will not move
Two states look like a switched-off toggle and are not:
- Always in your inbox — can’t be turned off. Some records are kept whatever your settings say. You can stop them chasing you by push or email; you cannot stop them existing.
- Not available for this notification. That channel does not apply to that type at all. It is not off — there is nothing there to turn on.
The second is the one that causes confusion. A blank where you expected a switch means the combination does not exist, not that Densy has silently disabled it.
Muting everything
Mute all notifications pauses push and email across the board.
It does not empty your inbox. Order updates, trial reminders and protocol changes still land there while you are muted — they are the ones you would be annoyed to have missed. Everything else is paused.
Mute governs delivery, not the record. If you mute and then wonder why nothing has happened for a fortnight, your inbox has been filling up the whole time.
Turning on push
Push needs your browser’s permission, which it will ask for once. Until you grant it, the push switches have nothing to act on.
On iPhone, add Densy to your Home Screen first — Share, then Add to Home Screen — and then enable push. iOS does not deliver web push to a normal Safari tab.
If you blocked notifications, Densy cannot ask again. Browsers only prompt once, and after a block they refuse silently. Turn Densy back on in your browser’s site settings and reload the page. There is no button here that can undo it.
What Densy sends
The list changes as features are added, but the shape is stable:
| Kind | When |
|---|---|
| Scan reminders | When a scan is due, or has finished |
| Protocol | Your daily session is ready, or your routine changed |
| Order updates | Paid, being prepared, shipped, delivered — see Store |
| Getting started | In your first week, if you have not scanned yet |
| We miss you | When you have been away a while |
| Welcome | Once, when you join — by email, and not optional |
Common questions
I turned everything off and still got an email. Check whether that row’s email channel is locked. A locked channel is deliberate and cannot be switched off.
Push worked and then stopped. The most common cause is a browser or device that revoked the permission, or a Home Screen install that was removed on iPhone. Re-enable push on the device.
Do these settings apply to every device? Your channel choices do. The browser permission that makes push possible is per-device, so a new phone needs enabling again.
