Getting started

Densy measures what your hair is doing, week by week, and sets you a routine based on what it finds. You take photographs; Densy does the reading.

Before you reach the app

Create your account

Email and a password, or whichever sign-in method you prefer.

Answer nine questions

They take a couple of minutes and shape everything after them — which routine you are matched to, which members you are matched with, and which membership offer you are shown. What each answer is for.

Choose how you pay

A subscription that starts with a free trial, or a one-off lifetime membership. Membership covers both.

Take your first scan

Five photographs of your scalp. Taking your weekly scan walks through it.

The order is not arbitrary. The questions come before the payment screen because your answers decide which membership offer you are shown. Answering them first is what makes that offer yours rather than a generic one.

If Densy keeps sending you back

Two things are checked every time you open the app, and either one will redirect you rather than let you in half-configured:

Neither is an error, and neither loses anything. Finish the step you are sent to and you land back in the app.

Your first few weeks

Your first scan is your baseline. It is the reading every later scan is measured against, so it has nothing to be compared to yet. Expect a set of readings and no direction.

A direction needs a few weeks. One week against another is mostly capture conditions — light, angle, how dry your hair was. Densy is built to be read as a trend over a month or more, and the pages about your results say so repeatedly for that reason.

Your routine can change before you expect it to. It is re-matched every day against your most recent scan, so a new scan landing is the usual explanation for a routine that looks different this morning.

Do not try to catch up on missed days. The routine is set per day, not queued — there is nothing waiting for you. Start again with today.
